917 Moroccans arrived on Friday at the Marrakech-Menara International Airport via six flights. Six Royal Air Maroc (RAM) planes, with between 147 and 160 people on board each, landed successively at the said airport, coming from Great Britain (one flight), France (three flights), the Netherlands (one flight) and Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal (one flight).
The repatriation operation was carried out in full compliance with the precautionary measures and the health protocol in force, under the supervision of all the services concerned.
Upon their arrival, these Moroccans, wearing their protective masks, carried out customs formalities and recovered their luggage in a smooth and orderly manner, while respecting social distancing measures.
Subsequently, these citizens got on buses bound for eight hotels in the city, where they will undertake Covid-19 screenings and will be quarantined in accordance with the health protocol in force.
30 flights were scheduled between June 21 and 27 for the repatriation of 4,644 Moroccans stranded in 17 countries.
