Coronavirus : 175 new cases in Morocco, mainly in Laayoune and Tangier

A total of 175 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were recorded in Morocco over the past 24 hours while 17 Covid-19 patients have recovered over the given period, the ministry of health announced Sunday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 12,052 while the number of cured people increases to 8,740, the head of the department of epidemic diseases at the Ministry of Health, Hind Ezzine, told reporters, noting that the recovery rate stands at 72.5%.

The death toll has reached 221, she pointed out, noting that the fatality rate stands at 1.8%.
