243 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 12,533.
87 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the kingdom to 8,920.
Three deaths were recorded during the same period. The death toll stands at 228, with a fatality rate of 1.8%. Morocco also 3,385 active cases under treatment.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma, with 92 new infections, including 80 cases in Tangier, 7 cases in Ouazzane, 3 cases in Larache, one case in Fnideq and one case in Tétouan.
Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 72 new cases, all registered in Laayoune and 1 in Tarfaya.
In Casablanca-Settat, 48 new cases were recorded, including 38 in Casablanca, four in Mohammedia, two in Mediouana, two in El Jadida and two cases in Sidi Bennour.
15 new cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi : 9 cases in Marrakech, two cases in Safi, two cases in El Haouz and two cases in Kelaat Sraghna.
In the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, 11 cases were recorded : 7 cases in Kenitra, two cases in Sidi Kacem and two cases in Sidi Slimane. 4 new cases were found in Fez and one case in Dakhla.
