The operation to repatriate Moroccans stranded in Turkey continued on Saturday, with the organization of two flights carrying 230 Moroccan citizens and around 70 nationals from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Ukraine, whose repatriation was coordinated in Istanbul.

These two flights are part of the repatriation operation carried out to bring home Moroccans stranded in Turkey for this week, and it includes nine flights.

The Moroccan consul general in Istanbul M'hamed Ifriquine said that the consulate services supervised, last week, the repatriation operation of more than 1,500 citizens, stressing that the list of beneficiaries of this humanitarian operation has been established according to precise, strict and transparent criteria and in coordination with the central administration.

He recalled in this context that the consulate had paid for the accommodation costs of around 3000 Moroccans in classified hotels in Istanbul and Bursa, over more than three months.
