A Royal Navy coastguard on a maritime patrol mission in the Mediterranean Sea foiled a drug-trafficking attempt on Sunday while pursuing a go-fast, a military source said.
During the pursuit, the offender disposed of his shipment of 14 bundles and 22 plastic jugs loaded with chira, according to the same source.
The cargo, of more than one ton recovered 15 kilometers off the coast, was turned over to the Royal Gendarmerie for standard procedures.
