659 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 26,196.
533 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 18,968.
19 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today. These cases are located in Tangier (8), Casablanca (3), Marrakech (3), Fez (2), Rabat (1), Tetouan (1) and Al Hoceima (1).
Morocco now has 6,827 active cases under treatment, most of which are in the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (1,955), Fez-Meknes (1,847), Casablanca-Settat (1,545), Marrakech-Safi (576) and Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (456 cases).
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Fez-Meknes region, with 225 new cases : 201 in Fez, 13 in Meknes, 4 in Ifrane, 3 in Sefrou, 2 in Moulay Yacoub, one case in Taza and another one in Taounate.
Next comes the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, with 180 new cases : 154 in Tangier, 10 cases in Tetouan, 6 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 in Al Hoceima, 3 in Ouazzane, one case in Larache and one case in Chefchaouen.
In Casablanca-Settat, 89 cases were confirmed : 77 in Casablanca and 12 cases in Berrchid. 54 new cases were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, including 30 in Temara, 9 cases in Rabat, 9 in Sidi Kacem, two cases in Sidi Slimane, two in Salé and two in Khemisset.
For its part, Marrakech-Safi recorded 44 new cases, all in Marrakech, while 33 cases were identified in Draa-Tafilalet : 24 cases in Errachidia, 5 in Tinghir, two cases in Midelt and 2 cases in Ouarzazate.
There has also been 20 cases recorded in Beni Mellal-Khenifra (17 in Beni Mellal and three cases in Azilal) as well as 11 cases identified in the Oriental region (6 in Taourit, 3 cases in Oujda, one case in Guercif and a case in Diouach).
