The ministerial decision of August 6 did not categorically decide on the pedagogical model that will be adopted for the next school year (presence, distance or alternating teaching), said Sunday ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In response to erroneous information published by certain media and social networks about the start of the 2020-2021 school year, the ministry stated in a press release that contrary to what was said, the ministerial decision of 6 August did not categorically decide on the pedagogical model for the next school year (presence, distance or alternating teaching), stressing that its provisions could be revised or adapted if necessary in the light of the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom.
Thus, at the end of each school year, the ministry usually publishes a decision for the organization of the next school year. It provides in particular for the main activities scheduled, the date of the start of classes, set this year for 7 September, the dates of examinations and the calendar of school holidays, the same source noted, adding that the aim is to enable those involved in education, families and pupils to prepare properly for the start of the new school year.
The department noted that, as in the school year 2019-2020, it will take all necessary measures to guarantee the right to education for all, in full compliance with the health security conditions and standards established by the competent authorities.
It also underlined that it will ensure proper preparation for the next school year, in coordination with the competent authorities, with a view to preserving the health safety of pupils, teachers and pedagogical and administrative staff.
