The Swedish government has decided to impose a temporary ban on entry on the residents of Morocco. The decision was announced, Thursday, and it is in line with the Council of the European Union’s latest recommendation to EU Member States.
The ban is extended until August 31, the Swedish government said in a press release. «Residents of Morocco are no longer generally exempted from the entry ban (however, other exemptions from the entry ban may continue to apply to them)», it explained.
Earlier this week, the Netherlands imposed an entry ban on people who have spent time in Morocco. This comes after the Kingdom was removed from the European Union’s safe list of countries from which the bloc allows non-essential travel.
