Morocco : Over 80% of families opted for in-person education

More than 80% of families have opted for in-person education, until Thursday morning, said Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, government spokesperson Saaid Amzazi.

Amzazi revealed this rate during a presentation on the 2020-2021 school year to members of the Government Council.

The minister, who was speaking at a press briefing at the end of this council, said he had informed these members of the preparations under way to organize this new school year in coordination with the local and health authorities, through the activation of the educational organization, the establishment of the health protocol and the preparation for the reception of students as of Monday 07 September in accordance with the developed program and with the involvement of all components of society, notably the educational and administrative staff and associations of parents and guardians of students.

For his part, Minister of Health Khalid Ait Taleb gave a presentation to the members of the Council about the evolution of the indicators of the current epidemic situation in Morocco in connection with the cumulative incidence rate, lethality and recovery as well as the number of confirmed cases, critical cases, deaths and cured people.
