11 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in a retirement home in Midelt. The infections were recorded among the facility’s workers and residents.
According to media, the center’s employees and residents underwent coronavirus tests, which revealed the 11 infections. The patients were transferred to the Moulay Ali Charif regional hospital in Errachidia for treatment.
Local authorities in Midelt disinfected the rest home and carried out further Covid-19 screening.
On Sunday, a commission from the prefecture of Midelt and the regional health directorate visited this retirement home to inquire about the measures put in place and to study other steps to limit the spread of the virus, especially since most of the residents of the facility are elderly and vulnerable.
