Moroccan student Mohamed El Khatri won the bronze medal in the final of the 32nd International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).
During these IOI-2020, held remotely from September 13 to 19, the national team obtained a total of 580 points, including 260 scored by the student El Khatri, noted the Ministry of National Education, vocational training, higher education and scientific research in a press release.
The ministry deemed that this result is very honorable for Morocco and its education system, noting that this is the 4th participation of the Kingdom in the International Olympiad in Informatics.
During this international event, Morocco was represented by four students who had passed the various stages of the said Olympiad, organized by the ministry, in cooperation with the Moroccan Association for Digital Confidence (AMAN).
The Moroccan team consisted of student Mohamed El Khatri, representing the regional academy of Casablanca-Settat and Nabil Boudraa, Amine Moutii and Aymane Riad Essoulh, from the academy of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.
