As part of the 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival (held from November 28 to December 6), the eighth edition of the Atlas Workshops wrapped up this Thursday with eight of the 28 selected projects receiving awards, totaling nearly 1.2 million MAD in funding. While this industry support will help many feature films move forward, the synergy fostered by the initiative remains one of the key drivers of emerging talent’s success.

The 2025 Marrakech International Film Festival kicked off on November 28, celebrating its 22nd edition with a vibrant tribute to global cinema and a diverse selection of 82 films, including 15 Moroccan titles. With a jury led by acclaimed director Bong Joon Ho, the festival honors cinematic legends like Hussein Fahmy while showcasing bold new creations, reinforcing Marrakech's pivotal role in the international film landscape.
