12.76.فَبَدَأَ بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ قَبْلَ وِعَاء أَخِيهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَخْرَجَهَا مِن وِعَاء أَخِيهِ كَذَلِكَ كِدْنَا لِيُوسُفَ مَا كَانَ لِيَأْخُذَ أَخَاهُ فِي دِينِ الْمَلِكِ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاءَ اللّهُ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مِّن نَّشَاء وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ

12.76. Joseph commença par fouiller les bagages des autres avant de passer à ceux de son frère, et il en retira la coupe. Nous avons suggéré à Joseph d'avoir recours à ce moyen, sans lequel il ne pouvait pas retenir son frère près de lui selon la loi du pays, à moins que Dieu ne l'eût voulu. Nous élevons en rang qui Nous voulons. Mais, au-dessus de tout savant, il y a Celui dont la science n'a point de limite.

12.76 . Then he ( Joseph ) began the search with their bags before his brother ' s bag , then he produced it from his brother ' s bag . Thus did We contrive for Joseph . He could not have taken his brother according to the king ' s law unless Allah willed . We raise by grades ( of mercy ) whom We will , and over every lord of knowledge there is one more knowing .

12.76. Fabadaa bi-awAAiyatihim qabla wiAAa-i akheehi thumma istakhrajaha min wiAAa-i akheehi kathalika kidna liyoosufa ma kana liya/khutha akhahu fee deeni almaliki illa an yashaa Allahu narfaAAu darajatin man nashao wafawqa kulli thee AAilmin AAaleemun

12.77.قَالُواْ إِن يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَاناً وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمْ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ

12.77. «Il n'est pas étonnant qu'il ait commis ce vol, dirent les frères de Joseph, un frère à lui avait déjà commis un vol avant lui !» Joseph garda pour lui cette réflexion et ne dévoila guère ce qu'il en pensait, se contentant de dire en lui-même : «Vous êtes encore plus mauvais que je ne croyais ! Mais Dieu est le mieux Informé de vos allégations.»

12.77 . They said : If he stealeth , a brother of his stole before . But Joseph kept it secret in his soul and revealed it not unto them . He said ( within himself ) : Ye are in worse case and Allah knoweth best ( the truth of ) that which ye allege .

12.77. Qaloo in yasriq faqad saraqa akhun lahu min qablu faasarraha yoosufu fee nafsihi walam yubdiha lahum qala antum sharrun makanan waAllahu aAAlamu bima tasifoona

12.78.قَالُواْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْعَزِيزُ إِنَّ لَهُ أَباً شَيْخاً كَبِيراً فَخُذْ أَحَدَنَا مَكَانَهُ إِنَّا نَرَاكَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

12.78. – «Ô seigneur !, dirent les fils de Jacob. Le père de ce jeune homme est d'un âge très avancé. Prends l'un de nous à sa place. Nous voyons en toi un homme d'une grande bonté.»

12.78 . They said : O ruler of the land! Lo! he hath an aged father , so take one of us instead of him . Lo ! we behold thee of those who do kindness .

12.78. Qaloo ya ayyuha alAAazeezu inna lahu aban shaykhan kabeeran fakhuth ahadana makanahu inna naraka mina almuhsineena

12.79.قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّهِ أَن نَّأْخُذَ إِلاَّ مَن وَجَدْنَا مَتَاعَنَا عِندَهُ إِنَّـا إِذاً لَّظَالِمُونَ

12.79. – «À Dieu ne plaise, dit Joseph, que je retienne un autre que celui chez qui notre coupe a été trouvée ! Nous serions alors vraiment injustes.»

12.79 . He said : Allah forbid that we should seize save him with whom we found our property ; then truly we should be wrongdoers .

12.79. Qala maAAatha Allahi an na/khutha illa man wajadna mataAAana AAindahu inna ithan lathalimoona

12.80.فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْأَسُواْ مِنْهُ خَلَصُواْ نَجِيّاً قَالَ كَبِيرُهُمْ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ أَبَاكُمْ قَدْ أَخَذَ عَلَيْكُم مَّوْثِقاً مِّنَ اللّهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ مَا فَرَّطتُمْ فِي يُوسُفَ فَلَنْ أَبْرَحَ الأَرْضَ حَتَّىَ يَأْذَنَ لِي أَبِي أَوْ يَحْكُمَ اللّهُ لِي وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ

12.80. Désespérant de le fléchir, les fils de Jacob se retirèrent pour se concerter. «Oubliez-vous, dit l'aîné, que notre père nous a fait prendre un engagement devant Dieu? Oubliez-vous que vous avez déjà manqué à votre engagement en abandonnant Joseph auparavant? Je ne quitterai pas ce pays, pour ma part, avant que mon père ne me le permette, ou que Dieu ne juge en ma faveur, car Il est le Meilleur des juges.

12.80 . So , when they despaired of ( moving ) him , they conferred together apart . The eldest of them said : Know ye not how your father took an undertaking from you in Allah ' s name and how ye failed in the case of Joseph aforetime? Therefore I shall not go forth from the land until my father giveth leave or Allah judgeth for me . He is the Best of Judges .

12.80. Falamma istay-asoo minhu khalasoo najiyyan qala kabeeruhum alam taAAlamoo anna abakum qad akhatha AAalaykum mawthiqan mina Allahi wamin qablu ma farrattum fee yoosufa falan abraha al-arda hatta ya/thana lee abee aw yahkuma Allahu lee wahuwa khayru alhakimeena
