17.6.ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَا لَكُمُ الْكَرَّةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَمْدَدْنَاكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ أَكْثَرَ نَفِيراً

17.6. Puis Nous vous donnâmes la revanche sur eux en multipliant vos richesses et vos enfants et en vous donnant l'avantage du nombre,

17.6 . Then we gave you once again your turn against them , and We aided you with wealth and children and made you more in soldiery ,

17.6. Thumma radadna lakumu alkarrata AAalayhim waamdadnakum bi-amwalin wabaneena wajaAAalnakum akthara nafeeran

17.7.إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَاء وَعْدُ الآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوؤُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُواْ الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوْاْ تَتْبِيراً

17.7. en vous disant : «Si vous faites le bien, vous le ferez pour vous-mêmes , si vous faites le mal, vous le ferez à vos dépens.» Et lorsque échut le terme de la seconde prédiction, c'était pour permettre à vos ennemis de vous accabler de malheurs, de profaner votre temple comme ils l'avaient fait la première fois et de tout détruire sur leur passage.

17.7 . ( Saying ) : If ye do good , ye do good for your own souls , and if ye do evil , it is for them ( in like manner ) . So , when the time for the second ( of the judgments ) came ( We roused against you others of Our slaves ) to ravage you , and to enter the Temple even as they entered it the first time , and to lay waste all that they conquered with an utter wasting .

17.7. In ahsantum ahsantum li-anfusikum wa-in asa/tum falaha fa-itha jaa waAAdu al-akhirati liyasoo-oo wujoohakum waliyadkhuloo almasjida kama dakhaloohu awwala marratin waliyutabbiroo ma AAalaw tatbeeran

17.8.عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَن يَرْحَمَكُمْ وَإِنْ عُدتُّمْ عُدْنَا وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ حَصِيراً

17.8. Il se peut que votre Seigneur vous fasse miséricorde. Mais si vous récidivez, Nous reviendrons à la charge. Nous avons fait de la Géhenne un lieu de détention pour les infidèles.

17.8 . It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you , but if ye repeat ( the crime ) We shall repeat ( the punishment ) , and We have appointed hell a dungeon for the disbelievers .

17.8. AAasa rabbukum an yarhamakum wa-in AAudtum AAudna wajaAAalna jahannama lilkafireena haseeran

17.9.إِنَّ هَـذَا الْقُرْآنَ يِهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْراً كَبِيراً

17.9. En vérité, ce Coran conduit vers la voie la plus droite , et annonce à ceux qui croient et font le bien qu'ils auront une belle récompense,

17.9 . Lo! this Quran guideth unto that which is straightest , and giveth tidings unto the believers who do good works that theirs will be a great reward .

17.9. Inna hatha alqur-ana yahdee lillatee hiya aqwamu wayubashshiru almu/mineena allatheena yaAAmaloona alssalihati anna lahum ajran kabeeran

17.10.وأَنَّ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيماً

17.10. et à ceux qui ne croient pas à la vie future qu'un affreux supplice les attend.

17.10 . And that those who believe not in the Hereafter , for them We have prepared a painful doom .

17.10. Waanna allatheena la yu/minoona bial-akhirati aAAtadna lahum AAathaban aleeman
