18.41.أَوْ يُصْبِحَ مَاؤُهَا غَوْراً فَلَن تَسْتَطِيعَ لَهُ طَلَباً

18.41. ou que l'eau qui l'arrose tarisse sans que tu puisses jamais la retrouver.»

18.41 . Or some morning the water thereof will he lost in the earth so that thou canst not make search for it .

18.41. Aw yusbiha maoha ghawran falan tastateeAAa lahu talaban

18.42.وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِهِ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى مَا أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّي أَحَداً

18.42. Or, sa récolte fut détruite et il ne lui restait plus qu'à se tordre les mains de regret, en pensant à toutes les dépenses qu'il avait effectuées et en se lamentant sur ses treilles complètement ravagées. «Plût à Dieu, gémissait-il, que je n'eusse jamais donné d'associés à mon Seigneur !»

18.42 . And his fruit was beset ( with destruction ) . Then began he to wring his hands for all that he had spent upon it , when ( now ) it was all ruined on its trellises , and to say : Would that I had ascribed no partner to my Lord!

18.42. Waoheeta bithamarihi faasbaha yuqallibu kaffayhi AAala ma anfaqa feeha wahiya khawiyatun AAala AAurooshiha wayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oshrik birabbee ahadan

18.43.وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُ فِئَةٌ يَنصُرُونَهُ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِراً

18.43. Et il ne trouva aucun parti pour le secourir contre Dieu, pas plus qu'il ne put se secourir lui-même,

18.43 . And he had no troop of men to help him as against Allah , nor could he save himself .

18.43. Walam takun lahu fi-atun yansuroonahu min dooni Allahi wama kana muntasiran

18.44.هُنَالِكَ الْوَلَايَةُ لِلَّهِ الْحَقِّ هُوَ خَيْرٌ ثَوَاباً وَخَيْرٌ عُقْباً

18.44. car, en pareil cas, la souveraine protection n'appartient qu'à Dieu qui est la Vérité suprême, et qui accorde la meilleure récompense et assure la fin la plus heureuse.

18.44 . In this case is protection only from Allah , the True . He is best for reward , and best for consequence .

18.44. Hunalika alwalayatu lillahi alhaqqi huwa khayrun thawaban wakhayrun AAuqban

18.45.وَاضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاء أَنزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَبَاتُ الْأَرْضِ فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيماً تَذْرُوهُ الرِّيَاحُ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّقْتَدِراً

18.45. Propose-leur encore la parabole de la vie en ce bas monde. Elle est semblable à cette eau que Nous faisons descendre du ciel, et dont les plantes s'imprègnent un instant pour se transformer ensuite en chaume à la merci des vents, car la puissance de Dieu n'a point de limite.

18.45 . And coin for them the similitude of the life of the world as water which We send down from the sky , and the vegetation of the earth mingleth with it and then becometh dry twigs that the winds scatter . Allah is Able to do all things .

18.45. Waidrib lahum mathala alhayati alddunya kama-in anzalnahu mina alssama-i faikhtalata bihi nabatu al-ardi faasbaha hasheeman tathroohu alrriyahu wakana Allahu AAala kulli shay-in muqtadiran
