20.126.قَالَ كَذَلِكَ أَتَتْكَ آيَاتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا وَكَذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنسَى

20.126. – «Il en est ainsi, lui dira le Seigneur. Nous t'avons bien envoyé Nos preuves et tu les as négligées , eh bien, c'est ton tour, à toi d'être négligé !»

20.126 . He will say : So ( it must be ) . Our revelations came unto thee but thou didst forget them . In like manner thou art forgotten this Day .

20.126. Qala kathalika atatka ayatuna fanaseetaha wakathalika alyawma tunsa

20.127.وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِن بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَى

20.127. C'est ainsi que Nous rétribuons celui qui aura commis des excès et n'aura pas cru aux signes de son Seigneur. Certes, le châtiment de la vie future est plus terrible encore et plus durable.

20.127 . Thus do We reward him who is prodigal and believeth not the revelations of his Lord ; and verily the doom of the Hereafter will be sterner and more lasting .

20.127. Wakathalika najzee man asrafa walam yu/min bi-ayati rabbihi walaAAathabu al-akhirati ashaddu waabqa

20.128.أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى

20.128. N'ont-ils pas été suffisamment édifiés par les nombreuses générations que Nous avions déjà fait périr avant eux et dont ils foulent aujourd'hui l'endroit où s'élevaient leurs demeures? N'y a-t-il pas là des signes pour des hommes doués d'intelligence?

20.128 . Is it not a guidance for them ( to know ) how many a generation We destroyed before them , amid whose dwellings they walk? Lo! therein verily are signs for men of thought .

20.128. Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna fee thalika laayatin li-olee alnnuha

20.129.وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَكَانَ لِزَاماً وَأَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى

20.129. N'eussent été un arrêt déjà pris et un terme déjà fixé par ton Seigneur, leur supplice eût été immédiat.

20.129 . And but for a decree that had already gone forth from thy Lord , and a term already fixed , the judgment would ( have ) been inevitable ( in this world ) .

20.129. Walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika lakana lizaman waajalun musamman

20.130.فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا وَمِنْ آنَاء اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرْضَى

20.130. Supporte patiemment leurs propos ! Célèbre les louanges de ton Seigneur avant le lever et le coucher du soleil ! Glorifie-Le au cours de la nuit ainsi qu'aux extrémités de la journée ! Peut-être seras-tu agréé.

20.130 . Therefor ( O Muhammad ) , bear with what they say , and celebrate the praises of thy Lord ere the rising of the sun and ere the going down thereof . And glorify Him some hours of the night and at the two ends of the day , that thou mayst find acceptance .

20.130. Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla ghuroobiha wamin ana-i allayli fasabbih waatrafa alnnahari laAAallaka tarda
