28.46.وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ الطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَكِن رَّحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْماً مَّا أَتَاهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

28.46. Tu n'étais pas du côté du mont Sinaï, lorsque Nous avons appelé Moïse. Mais c'est par une grâce émanant de ton Seigneur que te voilà appelé à prêcher un peuple que personne, avant toi, n'est venu avertir. Peut-être sauront-ils s'en souvenir,

28.46 . And thou wast not beside the Mount when We did call ; but ( the knowledge of it is ) a mercy from thy Lord that thou mayest warn a folk unto whom no warner came before thee , that haply they may give heed .

28.46. Wama kunta bijanibi alttoori ith nadayna walakin rahmatan min rabbika litunthira qawman ma atahum min natheerin min qablika laAAallahum yatathakkaroona

28.47.وَلَوْلَا أَن تُصِيبَهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولاً فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

28.47. afin qu'ils ne disent pas, si jamais une calamité les frappait pour prix de leurs œuvres : «Seigneur ! Si seulement Tu nous avais envoyé un prophète, Nous aurions suivi Tes signes, et nous aurions été croyants.»

28.47 . Otherwise , if disaster should afflict them because of that which their own hands have sent before ( them ) , they might say : Our Lord! Why sentest Thou no messenger unto us , that we might have followed Thy revelations and been of the believers?

28.47. Walawla an tuseebahum museebatun bima qaddamat aydeehim fayaqooloo rabbana lawla arsalta ilayna rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatika wanakoona mina almu/mineena

28.48.فَلَمَّا جَاءهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا لَوْلَا أُوتِيَ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى أَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى مِن قَبْلُ قَالُوا سِحْرَانِ تَظَاهَرَا وَقَالُوا إِنَّا بِكُلٍّ كَافِرُونَ

28.48. Mais, lorsque la vérité leur est parvenue de Notre part, ils ont dit : «Si seulement il avait reçu la même chose que Moïse !» Eh, quoi ! N'avaient-ils pas déjà renié ce qu'avait reçu Moïse autrefois? Ne disent-ils pas : «Ce sont deux variétés de magie qui se soutiennent mutuellement»? Et ils ajoutent : «Nous ne croyons ni en l'une ni en l'autre.»

28.48 . But when there came unto them the Truth from Our presence , they said : Why is he not given the like of what was given unto Moses? Did they not disbelieve in that which was given unto Moses of old? They say : Two magics that support each other ; and they say : Lo! in both we are disbelievers .

28.48. Falamma jaahumu alhaqqu min AAindina qaloo lawla ootiya mithla ma ootiya moosa awa lam yakfuroo bima ootiya moosa min qablu qaloo sihrani tathahara waqaloo inna bikullin kafiroona

28.49.قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابٍ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ هُوَ أَهْدَى مِنْهُمَا أَتَّبِعْهُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

28.49. Dis-leur : «Apportez donc de la part de Dieu un Livre qui soit meilleur guide que ces deux-là, et je le suivrai si vous êtes véridiques.»

28.49 . Say ( unto them , O Muhammad ) : Then bring a Scripture from the presence of Allah that giveth clearer guidance than these two ( that ) I may follow it , if ye are truthful .

28.49. Qul fa/too bikitabin min AAindi Allahi huwa ahda minhuma attabiAAhu in kuntum sadiqeena

28.50.فَإِن لَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكَ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَاءهُمْ وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِّنَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ

28.50. S'ils ne répondent pas à ton appel, sache alors qu'ils ne font que céder à leurs passions. Or, qui est plus égaré que celui qui se laisse dominer par ses passions sans être guidé par Dieu? Mais Dieu ne guide point les injustes.

28.50 . And if they answer thee not , then know that what they follow is their lusts . And who goeth farther astray than he who followeth his lust without guidance from Allah . Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk .

28.50. Fa-in lam yastajeeboo laka faiAAlam annama yattabiAAoona ahwaahum waman adallu mimmani ittabaAAa hawahu bighayri hudan mina Allahi inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena
