38.41.وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ

38.41. Rappelle-toi aussi Notre serviteur Job lorsqu'il adressa à son Seigneur cette plainte : «Satan ne fait que m'accabler de tourments et de tortures !»

38.41 . And make mention ( O Muhammad ) of Our bondman Job , when he cried unto his Lord ( saying ) : Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment .

38.41. Waothkur AAabdana ayyooba ith nada rabbahu annee massaniya alshshaytanu binusbin waAAathabin

38.42.ارْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ هَذَا مُغْتَسَلٌ بَارِدٌ وَشَرَابٌ

38.42. – «Frappe le sol du pied !, lui fut-il dit. Voici une source d'eau fraîche pour te laver et étancher ta soif !»

38.42 . ( And it was said unto him ) : Strike the ground with thy foot . This ( spring ) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink .

38.42. Orkud birijlika hatha mughtasalun baridun washarabun

38.43.وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَى لِأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ

38.43. Et Nous lui rendîmes sa famille, deux fois plus nombreuse qu'elle n'était. Ce fut là une miséricorde de Notre part et un rappel pour les gens doués d'intelligence

38.43 . And We bestowed on him ( again ) his household and therewith the like thereof , a mercy from Us , and a memorial for men of understanding .

38.43. Wawahabna lahu ahlahu wamithlahum maAAahum rahmatan minna wathikra li-olee al-albabi

38.44.وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثاً فَاضْرِب بِّهِ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَاهُ صَابِراً نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ

38.44. Nous lui dîmes encore : «Prends une gerbe de brindilles, frappes-en ton épouse, pour ne pas violer ton serment .» Et Nous trouvâmes en lui un homme plein de patience dans l'épreuve et un excellent serviteur toujours enclin au repentir.

38.44 . And ( it was said unto him ) : Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith , and break not twine oath . Lo! We found him steadfast , how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance ( to his Lord ) .

38.44. Wakhuth biyadika dighthan faidrib bihi wala tahnath inna wajadnahu sabiran niAAma alAAabdu innahu awwabun

38.45.وَاذْكُرْ عِبَادَنَا إبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُوْلِي الْأَيْدِي وَالْأَبْصَارِ

38.45. Souviens-toi également de Nos serviteurs Abraham, Isaac et Jacob, ces hommes si puissants et si clairvoyants.

38.45 . And me mention of our bondmen , Abraham , Isaac and Jacob , men of parts and vision .

38.45. Waothkur AAibadana ibraheema wa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba olee al-aydee waal-absari
