41.11.ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاء وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ اِئْتِيَا طَوْعاً أَوْ كَرْهاً قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ
41.11. Et qui, s'occupant ensuite du Ciel qui n'était encore qu'une nébuleuse, lui dit ainsi qu'à la Terre : “Soumettez-vous de gré ou de force !” – “Nous voilà entièrement soumis !”, répondirent-ils.»
41.11 . Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke , and said unto it and unto the earth : Come both of you , willingly or loth . They said : We come , obedient .
41.11. Thumma istawa ila alssama-i wahiya dukhanun faqala laha walil-ardi i/tiya tawAAan aw karhan qalata atayna ta-iAAeena
41.12.فَقَضَاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَى فِي كُلِّ سَمَاء أَمْرَهَا وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَحِفْظاً ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ
41.12. Et de cette nébuleuse, Il tira la substance de sept Cieux en deux jours et assigna à chaque ciel une fonction bien déterminée, tout en couvrant le ciel le plus bas de luminaires pour l'embellir et aussi pour le protéger. Tel fut l'ordre établi par le Tout-Puissant, l'Omniscient.
41.12 . Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days and inspired in each heaven its mandate ; and we decked the nether heaven with lamps , and rendered it inviolable . That is the measuring of the Mighty , the Knower .
41.12. Faqadahunna sabAAa samawatin fee yawmayni waawha fee kulli sama-in amraha wazayyanna alssamaa alddunya bimasabeeha wahifthan thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi
41.13.فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَاعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ
41.13. Si les négateurs s'obstinent dans leur refus, dis-leur : «Je vous mets en garde contre un cataclysme pareil à celui dont furent frappés les `Âd et les Thamûd
41.13 . But if they turn away , then say : I warn you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt ( which fell of old upon the tribes ) of Aad and Thamud ;
41.13. Fa-in aAAradoo fuqul anthartukum saAAiqatan mithla saAAiqati AAadin wathamooda
41.14.إِذْ جَاءتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ قَالُوا لَوْ شَاء رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ
41.14. qui, lorsque des prophètes s'étaient présentés à eux de toutes parts pour les exhorter à n'adorer que Dieu, leur dirent : “Si notre Seigneur avait voulu nous exhorter, Il aurait envoyé des anges ! Aussi récusons-nous totalement votre message !”«
41.14 . When their messengers came unto them from before them and behind them , saying : Worship none but Allah! they said : If our Lord had willed , He surely would have sent down angels ( unto us ) , so lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent .
41.14. Ith jaat-humu alrrusulu min bayni aydeehim wamin khalfihim alla taAAbudoo illa Allaha qaloo law shaa rabbuna laanzala mala-ikatan fa-inna bima orsiltum bihi kafiroona
41.15.فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
41.15. Les `Âd, de leur côté, se montrèrent d'une arrogance extrême sur la Terre : «Quel peuple, disaient-ils, a une puissance supérieure à la nôtre?» Oubliaient-ils que Dieu qui les avait créés était infiniment plus Redoutable qu'eux? Et, cependant, ils se sont obstinés à nier Nos signes.
41.15 . As for Aad , they were arrogant in the land without right , and they said : Who is mightier than us in power? Could they not see that Allah Who created them , He was mightier than them in power? And they denied Our revelations .
41.15. Faamma AAadun faistakbaroo fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi waqaloo man ashaddu minna quwwatan awa lam yaraw anna Allaha allathee khalaqahum huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatan wakanoo bi-ayatina yajhadoona
