7.76.قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُواْ إِنَّا بِالَّذِيَ آمَنتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ

7.76. – «Et nous, répliquèrent les arrogants, nous renions absolument ce en quoi vous croyez !»

7.76 . Those who were scornful said : Lo! in that which ye believe we are disbelievers .

7.76. Qala allatheena istakbaroo inna biallathee amantum bihi kafiroona

7.77.فَعَقَرُواْ النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْاْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُواْ يَا صَالِحُ ائْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

7.77. Puis, désobéissant aux ordres de leur Seigneur, ils égorgèrent la chamelle et dirent à Sâlih : «Exécute maintenant les menaces que tu brandis contre nous, si tu es vraiment un prophète !»

7.77 . So they hamstrung the she camel , and they flouted the commandment of their Lord , and they said : O Salih! Bring upon us that thou threatenest if thou art indeed of those sent ( from Allah ) .

7.77. FaAAaqaroo alnnaqata waAAataw AAan amri rabbihim waqaloo ya salihu i/tina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina almursaleena

7.78.فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ

7.78. C'est alors que le cataclysme vint les surprendre et que, le lendemain matin, leurs demeures étaient jonchées de leurs cadavres.

7.78 . So the earthquake seized them , and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling place .

7.78. Faakhathat-humu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena

7.79.فَتَوَلَّى عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّي وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلَكِن لاَّ تُحِبُّونَ النَّاصِحِينَ

7.79. Puis Sâlih se retira en disant : «Ô mon peuple ! Je vous ai bien transmis le message de mon Seigneur. Je vous ai loyalement conseillés, mais vous n'aimez pas entendre les bons conseils !»

7.79 . And Salih turned on them and said : O my people! I delivered my Lord ' s message unto you and gave you good advice , but ye love not good advisers .

7.79. Fatawalla AAanhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalata rabbee wanasahtu lakum walakin la tuhibboona alnnasiheena

7.80.وَلُوطاً إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّن الْعَالَمِينَ

7.80. Rappelez-vous aussi Loth, quand il dit à son peuple : «Comment osez-vous pratiquer un vice qu'aucun peuple avant vous n'avait pratiqué?

7.80 . And Lo! ( Remember ) when he said unto his folk : Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?

7.80. Walootan ith qala liqawmihi ata/toona alfahishata ma sabaqakum biha min ahadin mina alAAalameena
