70.1.سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ

70.1. Quelqu'un a demandé que se produise sans délai le châtiment inéluctable

70.1 . A questioner questioned concerning the doom about to fall

70.1. Saala sa-ilun biAAathabin waqiAAin

70.2.لِّلْكَافِرينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ

70.2. qui doit frapper les négateurs et que nul ne pourrait repousser,

70.2 . Upon the disbelievers , which none can repel ,

70.2. Lilkafireena laysa lahu dafiAAun

70.3.مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ

70.3. car ce châtiment provient de Dieu, le Maître des degrés célestes

70.3 . From Allah , Lord of the Ascending Stairways

70.3. Mina Allahi thee almaAAariji

70.4.تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ

70.4. que les anges et l'Esprit gravissent, dans leur ascension, vers Lui, en un jour d'une durée de cinquante mille ans !

70.4 . ( Whereby ) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years .

70.4. TaAAruju almala-ikatu waalrroohu ilayhi fee yawmin kana miqdaruhu khamseena alfa sanatin

70.5.فَاصْبِرْ صَبْراً جَمِيلاً

70.5. Fais donc preuve d'une belle patience !

70.5 . But be patient ( O Muhammad ) with a patience fair to see .
