8.41.وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ آمَنتُمْ بِاللّهِ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

8.41. Sachez que, sur tout butin que vous faites, le cinquième revient à Dieu, au Prophète, à ses proches, aux orphelins, aux pauvres et aux voyageurs démunis, pour peu que vous croyez en Dieu et à ce que Nous avons révélé à Notre Serviteur, le jour où le vrai s'est distingué du faux (al-furqân), le jour où les deux armées se sont rencontrées. La puissance de Dieu n'a point de limite !

8.41 . And know that whatever ye take as spoils of war , lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah , and for the messenger and for the kinsmen ( who hath need ) and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer ; if ye believe in Allah and that which We revealed unto Our slave on the Day of Discrimination , the day when the two armies met . And Allah is Able to do all things .

8.41. WaiAAlamoo annama ghanimtum min shay-in faanna lillahi khumusahu walilrrasooli walithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waibni alssabeeli in kuntum amantum biAllahi wama anzalna AAala AAabdina yawma alfurqani yawma iltaqa aljamAAani waAllahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun

8.42.إِذْ أَنتُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَى وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدتَّمْ لاَخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ وَلَـكِن لِّيَقْضِيَ اللّهُ أَمْراً كَانَ مَفْعُولاً لِّيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَن بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيَى مَنْ حَيَّ عَن بَيِّنَةٍ وَإِنَّ اللّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

8.42. Ce jour-là, vous vous trouviez sur le versant le plus proche et vos ennemis sur le versant le plus éloigné, tandis que la caravane se trouvait en contre-bas. Votre rencontre, donc, aurait pu ne pas avoir lieu, même si vous vous étiez donné rendez-vous. Mais Dieu veillait à l'exécution d'un arrêt pris par Lui de toute éternité pour que pérît, en connaissance de cause, celui qui devait périr, et survécût à la mêlée, en connaissance de cause, celui qui devait survivre. En vérité, Dieu entend tout et sait tout.

8.42 . When ye were on the near bank ( of the valley ) and they were on the yonder bank , and the caravan was below you ( on the coast plain ) . And had ye trysted to meet one another ye surely would have failed to keep the tryst , but ( it happened , as it did , without the forethought of either of you ) that Allah might conclude a thing that must be done ; that he who perished ( on that day ) might perish by a clear proof ( of His sovereignty ) and he who survived might survive by a clear proof ( of His sovereignty ) . Lo! Allah in truth is Hearer , Knower .

8.42. Ith antum bialAAudwati alddunya wahum bialAAudwati alquswa waalrrakbu asfala minkum walaw tawaAAadtum laikhtalaftum fee almeeAAadi walakin liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan liyahlika man halaka AAan bayyinatin wayahya man hayya AAan bayyinatin wa-inna Allaha lasameeAAun AAaleemun

8.43.إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ اللّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلاً وَلَوْ أَرَاكَهُمْ كَثِيراً لَّفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ سَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

8.43. Dieu t'avait montré en songe une armée ennemie peu nombreuse, car s'Il te l'avait montrée plus forte, vous vous seriez certainement découragés et la discorde se serait installée dans vos rangs. Mais Dieu vous en a préservés, car Dieu connaît parfaitement ce que recèlent les cœurs.

8.43 . When Allah showed them unto thee ( O Muhammad ) in thy dream as few in number , and if He had shown them to thee as many , ye ( Muslims ) would have faltered and would have quarrelled over the affair . But Allah saved ( you ) . Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts ( of men ) .

8.43. Ith yureekahumu Allahu fee manamika qaleelan walaw arakahum katheeran lafashiltum walatanazaAAtum fee al-amri walakinna Allaha sallama innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

8.44.وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلاً وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللّهُ أَمْراً كَانَ مَفْعُولاً وَإِلَى اللّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأمُورُ

8.44. Et lorsque vous vous êtes rencontrés avec vos ennemis, Dieu les fit apparaître à vos yeux moins nombreux qu'ils n'étaient en réalité , de même qu'Il vous fit apparaître à leurs yeux peu nombreux, afin que fût parachevé le Décret divin qui devait être exécuté. C'est à Dieu que tout doit être ramené.

8.44 . And when He made you ( Muslims ) , when ye met ( them ) , see them with your eyes as few , and lessened you in their eyes , ( it was ) that Allah might conclude a thing that must be done . Unto Allah all things are brought back .

8.44. Wa-ith yureekumoohum ithi iltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihim liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan wa-ila Allahi turjaAAu al-omooru

8.45.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ فِئَةً فَاثْبُتُواْ وَاذْكُرُواْ اللّهَ كَثِيراً لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلَحُونَ

8.45. Ô vous qui croyez ! Lorsque vous êtes en face d'une armée ennemie, soyez fermes et invoquez sans cesse le Nom de votre Seigneur ! Votre succès est à ce prix.

8.45 . O ye who believe! When ye meet an army , hold firm and think of Allah much , that ye may be successful .

8.45. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetum fi-atan faothbutoo waothkuroo Allaha katheeran laAAallakum tuflihoona
