Morocco to import Canary Island bananas

Morocco will start importing Canary Island bananas following a new trade deal that was initiated by a Spanish delegation visiting Casablanca in the beginning of this year, Produce Business UK online newspaper reports. The first Canarian-grown bananas were shipped to Morocco by the Association of Banana Producers of the Canaries (ASPROCAN). The first phase of the deal will also contain fruit grown of the Island, Tenerefe and La Palma. The trade deal was signed in Casablanca earlier this year
