Atlas Cloud Services (ACS), a branch of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), unveiled Morocco's first sovereign cloud marketplace during the «Move to Cloud» event. This initiative is designed to aid Moroccan businesses in their digital transformation journey.
The marketplace, a collaborative effort between ACS and Rkube, provides tailored solutions to meet local demands, enabling companies to independently provision and manage cloud-native services. Its multicloud architecture offers seamless access to essential technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), computing, and storage. This is all accessible through a single portal, aimed at reducing costs and enhancing efficiency.
Targeting strategic sectors such as health, finance, and industry, the platform also caters to tech startups with its flexible and scalable solutions. Unlike international offerings, it ensures data localization within Morocco, full compliance with national regulations, and heightened security, all crucial for maintaining data sovereignty.
During the event, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition, highlighted the cloud's significance in hosting data vital for AI development. She also reiterated that innovation and research are fundamental to Morocco's digital transition.
Atlas Cloud Services positions itself as a pivotal player in the national digitalization landscape, striving to boost the competitiveness of Moroccan companies by providing efficient and secure solutions tailored to local needs.
