Morocco airports welcomed more than 18.8 million passengers in six months

Morocco's airports handled a total of 18,831,461 passengers in the first six months of 2026, up 8.83% from the same period in 2025, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

This total breaks down into international air traffic, which rose by 8.86% to 16,835,752 passengers, and domestic traffic, up 8.6% to 1,995,709 passengers, ONDA stated in its commercial air traffic statistics for June 2026.

Casablanca Mohammed V Airport handled 5,756,388 passengers, an increase of 10.13%, followed notably by Marrakech-Menara Airport with 5,636,776 passengers, Agadir-Al Massira with 1,878,974, Tangier Ibn Battouta with 1,402,756, and Rabat-Salé with 1,217,574, the same source reported.

International air traffic was driven in particular by the strong performance of the European market, which remains the main source of passengers with more than 14 million travelers, up 9% year-on-year. South America climbed 34.31% to 53,807 passengers.

African and North American markets also posted strong results, rising respectively by 15.23% to 971,193 passengers and 15.46% to 461,695 passengers. Traffic with Maghreb countries increased by 11% to 244,069 passengers. By contrast, traffic with the Middle East and Far East fell by 5.66% to 1,044,129 passengers.

Morocco's airports also recorded 138,353 aircraft movements by the end of June 2026, up 9.65% year-on-year. Mohammed V Airport registered 45,824 movements, ahead of Marrakech-Menara with 36,795 and Agadir-Al Massira with 12,962.

Air freight, for its part, reached 57,828.11 tonnes during the first six months of the year, representing a 12.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

In June 2026 alone, Morocco's airports welcomed 3,116,576 passengers, up 5.83%.
