Government council examines agreement between Morocco and France on teaching Arabic

The Council of Government, convened on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Head of Government Saâd Dine El Otmani, examined an agreement between Morocco and France on teaching Arabic within the framework of the International Teaching of Foreign Languages in France.

Under this agreement, signed on October 6, 2020, and presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans abroad, Arabic can be taught in French public schools in partnership with the government of Morocco, provided that it is in line with the general principles of French national education, said the Minister of national education, vocational training, higher education and scientific research, Government spokesperson, Saaid Amzazi in a press release read during a press briefing following the weekly Cabinet meeting.
