508 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 479,579. 2,081,013 people have received the vaccine against Covid-19.
838 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 461,466.
13 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,517. 6 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in the Oriental region, 1 in Souss-Massa, 1 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Fès-Meknès and 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 9,596 active cases, including 419 in critical conditions. 36 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 257 infections: 221 in Casablanca, 14 in Mohammedia, 14 in Nouaceur, 3 in El Jadida, 3 in Settat and 2 in Berrechid. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 64 new cases: 18 in Salé, 16 in Skhirat-Témara, 15 in Kénitra, 6 in Sidi Kacem, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Khemisset and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 57 cases: 15 in Tanger-Assilah, 13 in Tétouan, 9 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 8 in Al Hoceima, 7 in Larache, 4 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Fahs Anjra. 42 new infections were recorded in the Oriental region: 26 in Oujda-Angad, 8 in Nador, 7 in Berkane and 1 in Figuig.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 25 infections: 19 in Marrakech, 5 in Safi and 1 in Essaouira. Souss-Massa recorded 24 cases: 18 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Taroudant, 2 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 2 in Tiznit.
9 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (4 in Fqih Bensaleh, 2 in Khouribga, 1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Khénifra), 8 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) as well as 7 in Fès-Meknes (2 in Fès, 2 in Ifrane, 2 in Taounate and 1 in Taza).
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 6 new cases (3 in Errachidia, 2 in Zagora and 1 in Tinghir), just like Guelmim-Oued Noun (3 in Guelmim, 2 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Assa Zag) while 4 infections were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (2 in Boujdour, 1 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya).
