592 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 508,530. 4,717,551 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,209,470 people have received the second.
542 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 494,415.
7 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,983. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra, 1 in Fès-Meknes and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma.
The country has 5,132 active cases, including 374 in critical conditions. 14 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 387 cases: 305 in Casablanca, 23 in Mohammedia, 21 in Nouaceur, 14 in Settat, 11 in Médiouna, 9 in Berrechid, 2 in El Jadida and 2 in Benslimane. Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 46 cases: 25 in Marrakech, 5 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 4 in Rehamna, 4 in Essaouira, 3 in Youssoufia, 3 in Chichaoua and 2 in Al Haouz.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 39 cases: 13 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 in Salé, 8 in Rabat, 8 in Kénitra and 1 in Khemisset. 24 infections were recorded in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, all in Oued Ed-Dahab. The Oriental region confirmed 24 cases: 10 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 3 in Driouch, 3 in Taourirt, 1 in Jerada and 1 in Guercif.
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra confirmed 23 cases: 22 in Laâyoune and 1 in Es-Semara. Souss-Massa follows with 16 new cases: 7 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 4 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 2 in Taroudant, 2 in Tiznit and 1 in Chtouka Aït Baha.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 10 new infections: 6 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in Al Hoceïma, 1 M'diq-Fnidek and 1 in Larache. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 9: 6 in Khouribga, 2 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Fqih Bensalah.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 8 cases: 6 in Errachidia and 2 in Tinghir. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 5, all in Guelmim. Fès-Meknes confirmed 1 in Meknes.
