Covid-19 in Morocco : 298 new infections and 8 deaths on Friday

298 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 513,314. 5,429,878 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,363,261 people have received the second.

275 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 500,192.

8 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,057. 7 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma.

The country has 4,065 active cases, including 260 in critical conditions. 16 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 188 cases: 162 in Casablanca, 15 in Mohammedia, 9 in Nouaceur, 5 in Berrechid, 4 in Mohammedia, 4 in Benslimane, 2 in El Jadida, 1 in Médiouna and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 27 cases: 12 in Sale, 8 in Rabat, 5 in Skhirat-Témara, 1 in Kénitra and 1 in Khemisset.

Souss-Massa recorded 21 cases: 9 in Taroudant, 8 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul, 3 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane and 1 in Tiznit. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 19 cases: 5 in Tétouan, 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 5 in Ouezzane, 3 in M'diq-Fnideq and 1 in Larache. Marrakech-Safi follows with 15 cases: 12 in Marrakech, 2 in Safi and 1 in Al Haouz.

Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 9 cases: 8 in Laâyoune and 1 in Tarfaya. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 5 in Guelmim. The Oriental region confirmed 8 cases: 4 in Figuig, 2 in Oujda-Angad and 2 in Guercif. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 3, all of them in Oued Ed-Dahab.

Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 2 cases: 1 in Errachidia and 1 in Ouarzazate. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 1 case in Khouribga.
