Snowfall and wind gusts expected on Thursday and Friday in Morocco

Snowfall above 1,700 m and locally strong wind gusts are forecast from Thursday to Friday in several provinces of the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) said on Tuesday. 

Locally heavy snowfalls (10-30 cm) are expected from Thursday at 6:00 pm to Friday at 6:00 pm in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Guercif, Taza and Sefrou, the same source said in an orange warning bulletin.

In addition, locally strong wind gusts (75/90 km/h) will affect the provinces of Driouch, Nador, Berkane, Jerada, Figuig, Boulmane and Midelt on Friday from 12:00 am to 11:00 pm, warned the DGM.
