Morocco foils attempt to smuggle 30 kg of Chira in Bab Sebta

Customs and police at the Bab Sebta crossing point have foiled an attempt to smuggle 30kg of chira on board a car, a customs source said.

During a joint control operation, customs officers, in collaboration with the police, seized this quantity of drugs, which had been carefully concealed in various hiding places in a French-registered vehicle driven by a Moroccan national, noted the same source.

The vehicle and the drugs were seized by customs, while the driver of the vehicle was handed over to the judicial police for further investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.
