Undocumented migrant arrested in Morocco over alleged killing

On Saturday, members of the Kénitra prefectural criminal investigation department arrested a sub-Saharan African national who was in Morocco illegally. The man is suspected of involvement in a stabbing death, a security source said.

The case dates back to the end of January, following the discovery of a vagrant's body in an abandoned building in the town center. The body showed signs of blunt force trauma.

Investigations supported by forensic and technical police expertise enabled the suspect to be identified and arrested in Kénitra. He has also been linked to a similar crime dating back to 2022.

The suspect has been placed in police custody for the purposes of the investigation, which should determine the motive behind these criminal acts.
