Manchester United has decided not to activate the €20 million purchase option for on-loan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on his Twitter account. Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag remains interested in the Moroccan and wants him to stay, but the club prefers to renegotiate the transfer fee with Fiorentina instead of paying the pre-agreed amount.

Amrabat has attracted interest from other clubs despite this decision. Fenerbahçe, managed by José Mourinho, is reportedly in serious talks with Fiorentina for a potential transfer. Uncertain about their next move, Manchester United is also considering Adrien Rabiot, who recently left Juventus.
Last season, Sofyan Amrabat made 30 appearances for Manchester United, including 21 Premier League starts, contributing to their FA Cup win and an eighth-place finish in the league.
