Significant resources have been urgently deployed by the Ministry of Equipment and Water to restore traffic following the floods and torrential rains impacting the southern regions of the kingdom.

In a press release, the ministry announced that it had dispatched nearly 200 personnel and 96 earthmoving machines to the provinces of Zagora, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Tata, Midelt, Taroudant, Guelmim-Assa Zag, Figuig, and Chichaoua.

As of Sunday at 3 p.m., 22 roads had been reopened, including 4 national roads, 7 regional roads, and 11 provincial roads, while work continues on 16 other roads still blocked by floods.

Tata, one of the hardest-hit areas, is receiving special attention, with intervention teams and resources reinforced. The ministry continues to mobilize all necessary personnel and equipment to restore traffic as quickly as possible on the affected road sections.
