Morocco has made significant progress in the global ranking of tourism revenues by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), moving from 41st to 31st place between 2019 and 2023.
This remarkable rise, one of the strongest progressions among the top 50 global destinations, demonstrates the dynamism and resilience of the Moroccan tourism sector, as well as the effectiveness of the implemented strategies.
The tourism roadmap for 2023-2026 aims to further strengthen this momentum, with an ambitious goal of reaching 120 billion dirhams (MAD) in foreign exchange revenues by 2026. To achieve this, the action plan focuses on two key areas: increasing the number of visitors to 17.5 million by 2026 and enriching the national tourism offer.
The government intends to multiply tourism infrastructure and offer innovative and diversified entertainment experiences to attract tourists.
