Morocco dominates Gabon 5-1 in Afcon qualifiers

The Moroccan national team secured a resounding 5-1 victory over Gabon on Friday evening at the Franceville Stadium in the fifth round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Morocco's goals were scored by Jamal Harkass (17th minute), Brahim Diaz (21st and 23rd minutes), Youssef En-Nesyri (81st minute), and Ismael Saibari (90th minute). Gabon's lone goal was scored by striker Denis Bouanga in the 5th minute.

In the same group, Lesotho defeated the Central African Republic 1-0 on Thursday.

At the end of the day, Morocco solidified their position at the top of Group B with a perfect record of five wins and 15 points. Gabon qualified for the AFCON with 7 points, while Lesotho and the Central African Republic are third and fourth, respectively.
