The FORVIA group, the seventh-largest global supplier of automotive technologies, inaugurated a new industrial facility in the Technopolis Industrial Acceleration Zone in Salé on Wednesday, November 27, during a ceremony attended by Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Patrick Koller, CEO of FORVIA. A second inauguration, concerning the extension of the Kénitra site, is scheduled for November 28.
During the ceremony, Mezzour praised the strategic role of FORVIA, which has been present in Morocco for 15 years, emphasizing that these projects reflect the competitiveness and potential of the Moroccan automotive industry while strengthening the local integration of the sector and its global positioning.
These two new infrastructures, intended to serve the European and Moroccan markets, mark an important step for the group's industrial development in the Kingdom. They are expected to generate nearly 2,000 jobs between 2024 and 2027, while doubling FORVIA's production capacities.
Established in Morocco since 2008, FORVIA now has three factories in the country, in Kénitra and Salé, and employs approximately 4,000 people. Specializing in the manufacture of automotive covers, vehicle interiors (dashboards and door panels), and the assembly of exhaust gas after-treatment systems, the group asserts itself as a key player in the national automotive ecosystem.
