On Sunday night, 96 guests at a wedding in Douar Daijat, a village near El Jadida, suffered from food poisoning.
Several attendees developed symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and colic after consuming chicken, raising suspicions of food contamination, according to media reports.
The affected individuals were transported to Mohamed V Regional Hospital in El Jadida for medical treatment, with no fatalities reported so far.
The public prosecution has ordered a preliminary investigation into the incident, pending laboratory analysis of meal and vomit samples to identify the cause of the poisoning and determine appropriate actions.
