As the closing event of the Morocco – Qatar 2024 Cultural Year, a Tbourida show was organized on Tuesday, December 17, at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Center in Doha. This demonstration featured the participation of five troupes and 65 riders from different regions of the country, thus embodying the richness of local traditions.
Presided over by Princess Lalla Hasnaa and Sheikha Sara Bint Hamad Al Thani, the event indeed highlighted the national equestrian art, thanks to the Royal Society of Horse Encouragement (SOREC), the official partner, and RAM, the carrier of the «Tbourida Show», according to a statement.
The participating troupes:
1. Charaf Al Bahraoui, winner of the Grand Prix Mohammed VI in El Jadida
2. Rachid Sikas: Captain of the Al Hassan team
3. Abdelghani Benkheda: Awarded in numerous national and regional competitions
4. Ali Hihi: Representing the Oriental region
5. Ibrahim Al Nasihi: Flag bearer of the South
The «Tbourida Show» concluded the cultural year «on a high note». The organizers are pleased with this symbolism, which reflects the commitment of the two countries to «preserve the equestrian and cultural traditions of the region».
