A fishing boat carrying five individuals sank off the coast of Larache on Sunday, January 26, reported local media sources.
According to these sources, four of the fishermen managed to survive the ordeal, reaching the shore safely. They were subsequently transported to Lalla Meryem Regional Hospital in Larache for medical assistance. Tragically, the fifth fisherman did not survive, and his body was claimed by the sea.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 am and is suspected to have been caused by adverse weather conditions.
