The meals provided to healthcare staff and security personnel at the regional hospital center in Beni Mellal during Ramadan have sparked widespread controversy. The union office affiliated with the National Health Federation strongly rejected these meals, describing them as «meager and disrespectful to the dignity of sector workers».

The union office explained that the meals fail to meet basic health and nutritional standards, emphasizing that they are unsuitable for the demanding nature of hospital work, especially during Ramadan. The statement highlighted that the poor quality and insufficient quantity of the meals cause significant discomfort for hospital staff, including medical and paramedical personnel, as well as private security workers.

The union called on the hospital administration to take responsibility for improving the quality of food services, demanding the provision of balanced meals that respect the dignity of workers. It also urged a boycott of the meals until their quality is improved and called on the relevant ministry and authorities to urgently intervene to protect the rights of healthcare staff and private security personnel.
