Public television channels recorded a 68.6% audience share during the special programming for the month of Ramadan. The channels of the National Broadcasting and Television Company (SNRT) accounted for just over half of this figure, with 36.6%. The enthusiasm for these programs was also reflected on digital platforms, allowing viewers to watch and rewatch content from the national channels.
According to a statement from SNRT, Al Aoula attracted 13 million viewers on the ninth day of Ramadan 1446, which corresponded to Monday, March 10, 2025. It was thus «the most-watched channel by Moroccans, with a 37.7% audience share» during prime time in the first third of the blessed month.
Comedy and drama programs were among the most watched, notably the second season of «Wlad Izza», with an audience share of 41.6% and a peak exceeding 8.8 million viewers. The series «Ana Wiak» surpassed 10.3 million viewers (35%). Meanwhile, the third season of «Salah w Fati» attracted 7.1 million viewers (31.5%). Additionally, the new series «Saadat El Moudir» recorded 5.3 million viewers.
In the drama category, «Jorh Qdim» attracted more than 9.3 million viewers (41%). Moreover, «the content broadcast on Meta platforms reached more than 20 million people, including 11 million» for the same series, the same source adds. «In total, more than 84 million views were recorded on the various digital platforms of SNRT, including 56 million on Meta, generating over 6.5 million hours of viewing during this period», it highlights.
In this regard, SNRT's 100% free VOD platform, Forja, exceeded 2.35 million downloads on mobile and Smart TVs. During this month, it recorded more than 65,000 hours of daily viewing and an average of 150,000 pieces of content viewed per day.
