The General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) issued a communiqué expressing its «deep anger» over the resumption of what it described as the «criminal Zionist entity's genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people» and the ongoing siege on Gaza, in blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and international law.
The statement came after Israel resumed its military operations in Gaza on Monday, breaching the ceasefire and resulting in the deaths of over 400 Palestinians, with hundreds more injured.
Condemning the «brutal Zionist aggression and its flagrant violation of the ceasefire», the PJD asserted that «this malicious entity, for the thousandth time, proves itself to be a rogue, criminal, and bloodthirsty state that disregards agreements, charters, and the very notion of peace».
The party also denounced the U.S. administration's «bias and unwavering support for the Zionist entity», accusing it of direct involvement in the ongoing genocide. It urged the Kingdom to «leverage its esteemed status and influence to denounce Zionist crimes, take all necessary initiatives to halt the genocide, support the Palestinian people, and sever all agreements and relations with this treacherous entity that cannot be trusted and from which no good can ever be expected».
Furthermore, the PJD called on governments and civil society across the Arab and Islamic world to mobilize both officially and through large-scale popular movements to put an end to the killings, siege, and starvation of Palestinians.
