Swiss construction chemicals manufacturer and marketer Sika is strengthening its local presence by launching a new mortar and admixtures plant near Agadir, Morocco.
This state-of-the-art facility is designed to serve southern Morocco and neighboring markets such as Mauritania, addressing the rising demand for construction materials in this rapidly growing region, Sika said in a press release on Wednesday.
The investment supports Morocco’s expanding construction sector, driven by strategic public investments and major infrastructure projects that position the country as a regional development hub, the company added.
«By expanding our local manufacturing capabilities, we are building a resilient, sustainable foundation for growth alongside our longstanding customers and partners», said Thomas Hasler, Sika’s CEO.
Sika’s investment in Morocco is part of its strategy to tap into a construction market forecasted to grow over 4% annually through 2028.
