Moroccan team advances to CHAN semi-finals after victory over Tanzania

The Moroccan local players' team has clinched a place in the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) after a narrow 1-0 victory over Tanzania in a quarter-final clash on Friday in Dar Es Salaam.

Oussama Lamlioui netted the decisive goal for the Atlas Lions in the 65th minute. Earlier in the day, Madagascar secured the first semi-final spot by overcoming Kenya 4-3 in a tense penalty shootout (Regulation time: 1-1, Extra time: 1-1) in Nairobi.
