Under the directives of King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, received General Cheryl Pearce, Interim Military Adviser to the United Nations, on Wednesday at the FAR General Staff headquarters in Rabat, during her visit to Morocco.
According to a statement from the FAR General Staff, the meeting provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on Morocco’s contribution to United Nations peacekeeping operations.
During the meeting, the UN official expressed her gratitude to King Mohammed VI for Morocco’s continued commitment to UN missions, particularly in the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She also praised the professionalism, discipline, and resilience of Royal Armed Forces personnel deployed in these operations.
