A total of 143,164 people have been evacuated and relocated so far across several provinces as part of ongoing preventive measures to protect lives and ensure public safety amid flooding risks, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday.

More specifically, 110,941 people were evacuated from Larache Province, 16,914 from Kenitra Province, 11,696 from Sidi Kacem Province, and 3,613 from Sidi Slimane Province. These measures are being implemented as part of continued mobilization by public authorities to mitigate the impacts of climate-related fluctuations.

The operations are being conducted based on assessed risk levels and the potential extent of damage, with various logistical resources deployed to ensure that affected populations are relocated under the best possible conditions.
