After spending several years calling it Moroccan Sahara as a news anchor on Al Aoula, the Sahraouian journalist is now one of those who defend separatists in France. Invited by a TV show on France24, Mohammed Radi Ellili felt free criticizing the decisions and initiatives taken by King Mohammed VI.

For Radi Ellili, the king’s visit to Cuba was «a failure». An oversimplified analysis that omits the recent rapprochement between Cuba and the Gulf cooperation council countries namely Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

In his indictment, Ellili denounced Morocco’s return to the African Union calling it «unsuccessful». He also criticized Morocco for moving its troops from the Guergurat buffer strip, believing that the kingdom was forced to take that step. The ex journalist did not hesitate accusing Rabat for delaying the negotiation procedure between the Kingdom and The Polisarion Front.

Fired from SNRT in 2014

The former news anchor has changed his discourse in just a few years, calling the militias of «Brahim Ghali» the «Sahrawi army».

Mohammed Radi Ellili was fired from the SNRT in 2014 following a serious dispute with Fatima El Baroudi, head of the news department at the Moroccan TV Channel. He was previously banned from delivering the news after being simply dismissed by Faissal Laaraichi.

In February 2017, Ellili announced that he started working as a journalist in France without revealing the name of the firm he is operating for.
