Fnac Darty, a large French retail chain selling cultural and electronic products, founded by André Essel and Max Théret in 1954, will open a second store in Tangier, Morocco. This was announced on Monday, 16th of October by several media platforms including Boursier and Trading Sat.
After opening a store in Casablanca in 2011, Fnac Darty will inaugurate the 560-square second shop in the Ibn Batouta Mall. The store in Tangiers will reinforce Fnac Darty’s deployment strategy on the continent, said the brand, of which more than 30% of its stores are installed abroad, says Boursier.
Fnac Tangier will present all the products and services offered by Fnac: books, records, DVD, gaming, computer, phones, and videogames. The latter says that the distributor «will again rely on a partner that is one of the leading Moroccan companies specialized in distribution, firmly established in the country, namely the Aksal group».
Fnac was established for the first time in Africa, Morocco, in December 2011.
