2018 World Cup: Morocco in Group B with Portugal, Spain and Iran

The draw has spoken for the 2018 FIFA World Cup set in Russia from the 14th of June to the 15th of July. The official draw was revealed on Friday, 1st of December at the Kremlin in Moscow. Morocco has found itself in a challenging position. Indeed, Group B sets the Kingdom alongside Portugal, Spain and Iran.

Four hats with eight teams, each of  which has been determined on the basis of the October 2017 FIFA ranking of the countries qualified for the event. The first hat, composed of the top 7 teams including Russia, the host country.

Morocco was in the fourth hat with Serbia, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, Panama, South Korea and Saudi Arabia.

The Lions of the Atlas will start the competition against Iran on the 15th of June 2018 at 4 p.m. (Morocco time) in St Petersburg before a second match on the 20th of June at 1 p.m. against Portugal in Moscow. For the last match, Morocco will be playing against Spain at 7 p.m. in Kaliningrad.
